Siyaram Textile

Our location is out in the industrial area, specifically at G18 RIICO. To find Siyaram Textile, you basically have to look for the Azuba Petrol Pump and then head behind it to the second stop. It's not the kind of place you just stumble upon unless you are looking for it. The surroundings are mostly other factories and sheds, so there is always the sound of machinery or trucks idling nearby. It gets dusty, and the sun beats down on the corrugated roofs in the afternoon. We spend our days surrounded by fabric and the smell of the warehouse. It is a very plain space with concrete floors and high shelves. We don't have a front desk or anyone to greet you with a smile; usually, we are just busy moving stuff around or checking the machines. Life here is tied to the shifts and the delivery schedules. Sometimes the water truck comes by and that's the highlight of the hour. We drink our tea standing up most of the time. It is hard work and the air is often heavy with the smell of exhaust from the petrol pump nearby, but this is where we've built everything. It’s honest work in a tough part of town, and we don't ask for much more than that. It is just a regular day at the mill for us.
