Shri Khatu Shyam Manav Seva Charitablefoundation is based at Laltesh’s house on Gaushala Road. If you know the Badi All Jatan area, you’ve probably walked right past us. We’re near the old gaushala, so the road is always full of life and sometimes a bit of a mess. Our foundation is a small, family-style operation. We don't have a dedicated office building, so we just use the space we have. Laltesh and Vinod Kumar started this to give back to the community. Most of our work involves basic human service, like helping people who are struggling to get by. It’s very informal here. You might find us sitting on the porch talking to a neighbor or sorting through donations in the hallway. We don't have a big budget for fancy things, so every bit of help goes directly to what’s needed. The sounds of the street are part of our daily life. It’s a dusty, busy place, but it feels like home. We’ve been part of this neighborhood for years, and people know they can come to us if they’re in a tough spot. We don't use big words or have long meetings. We just see what needs doing and try to get it done. It’s a simple way of living and working that suits us just fine.
