Shreya Tea

Out here near Neem Ka Khera, things move a bit slower than in the city. We are located at Plot No.15 and 20 in Bijolia Kala. Shreya Tea is basically just a couple of sheds where we keep all the stock. We’ve got a lot of space, but it’s mostly just filled with bags piled up to the ceiling. It gets pretty hot in the afternoons, so we try to get most of the heavy lifting done early in the morning before the sun is too high. Sometimes the local kids play near the plots. We don't mind as long as they stay away from the equipment and the trucks. The roads around here aren't the best, especially after the monsoon hits. We’ve had trucks get stuck in the mud once or twice. It’s a bit of a mess sometimes, but we manage. We aren't some big corporation with fancy offices and desks. We just sit on plastic chairs and keep track of things in a worn-out notebook. The tea arrives, we check it, and then it goes back out. It’s a simple cycle. Some days are more tiring than others. We drink a lot of water and try to stay in the shade. The neighbors at Bijolia Kala are nice people. We all help each other out when someone needs a hand with something. It’s just how it is in this part of town. We've been at these plots for a long time now and we're used to it.
