If you find yourself wandering through the Bhilwara Textile Market, you might end up near Indra Market at shop number 107. That’s where we are. It’s a small corner, but we manage to fit everything in. The market is always loud with trucks and people carrying bundles, so it feels good to just stay inside and work on the sweets. We aren't doing anything revolutionary here. We just make the same things folks have been eating for years. Most of the time, the counter is covered in boxes because someone is always picking up an order for their family or their office. It gets a bit cramped when it’s busy, but that is just how it is in this part of town. Sometimes we run out of things faster than we like, but we try to keep up. My hands are usually covered in flour or sugar by midday. The light in Indra Market isn't the brightest, but we know our way around the shop by heart now. We don't have a big team, just a few of us making sure the trays aren't empty. It’s a lot of standing on your feet, but seeing the same faces every day makes it okay. Most people just stop by because they are already in the market for work. We are just a part of the daily routine for many workers around here at shop 107.
