Shree Devnarayan Mishtan Bhandar

Shree Devnarayan Mishtan Bhandar is located right on Gaytri Ashram Road, not far from the main Bhilwara Textile Market in R K Colony. It’s a busy spot with people always rushing to get somewhere. We start our day by lighting the burners and getting the sugar syrup ready. The smell of frying snacks usually fills up the street by mid-morning. It’s a lot of manual work, lifting heavy pots and making sure the sweets don't burn. We have a small glass counter where we put out whatever is fresh that day. Some days we have more variety, some days we stick to the basics. The walls could probably use a fresh coat of paint, but we’re usually too busy to think about that. Customers come in and out, some stay to chat for a minute while we pack their bags. It’s a simple routine that hasn't changed much over the years. We handle everything ourselves, from cleaning the counters to dealing with the suppliers who bring in the ingredients. Sometimes the electricity goes out and we have to work by candlelight, which makes things slow. It's just a local shop trying to get through the day. We don't really do anything fancy here, just make the usual stuff people like to eat when they pass through this part of the market. I guess it's just a lot of sugar and hard work every day for us.
