We are located at Bhaleshwar Bhawan in Gandhi Nagar, right on Pur Road. It is a big old building where we have set up Owl Handicraft And Stone Pvt. Ltd. The yard is usually full of stone being carved or moved around. There is always a layer of white dust over everything, even our clothes. We have been working with stone for a long time. It is a slow process, and you cannot rush it or the stone might crack. We have several artisans who sit on the floor and work with chisels and hammers. The sound is a constant rhythmic tapping that you get used to after a while. Gandhi Nagar is a decent area, but the Pur Road traffic can be a lot during the rush hours. We don't have a big marketing team or anything like that. We just show the pieces we have finished to whoever comes by. The office inside Bhaleshwar Bhawan is simple, just some chairs and a table where we talk about the orders. We keep the stone outside and the smaller handicrafts on shelves inside. Sometimes the dust gets into our tea, but that is just part of living in a stone yard. We just keep our heads down and focus on the work in front of us. It is a steady life and we like the tangible results of what we do.
