You can find us at Oswal Plaza, specifically 6 S Basnat Vihar. We call ourselves Oswal Suiting Ltd. and we deal with fabrics for suits and formal wear mostly. The building isn't the newest on the block, but it's where we’ve set up our base of operations. We spend most of our time looking at different rolls of cloth and making sure the weave is what it should be. It’s a lot of feeling the texture and checking the colors under the lights. People come in looking for specific materials and we try to help them find what they need from our current stock. It gets a bit cramped when new shipments arrive because there are rolls of fabric everywhere for a few days until we get them onto the racks. We’ve got a small staff here who have been with us for years. They know the difference between one wool blend and another just by touch. It’s a skill you only get by doing it every single day. We don't spend money on big signs or any of that fancy stuff. If people need good suiting material, they usually find their way to us through word of mouth from other tailors. The light in the front room is the best for seeing the true colors of the cloth, so that's where we do most of the showing. It’s a steady kind of life. We close up around 7 most evenings.
