We are based in Shop Number 104 at the Amba Ji Textile Market in Bhilwara. We spend most of our time looking at slabs of stone. It's dusty work here. The market is usually busy, but we focus on the stone side of things instead of the fabrics everyone else is selling. Sometimes the trucks arrive late and we have to wait around. We just get on with it when they show up. It isn't a fancy office at all. We have some chairs and a desk where we handle the orders and talk to people. Most folks who come by are looking for something specific for their floors or walls. We’ve been at this address for a while now. The granite comes in different colors and weights. Moving them around takes a lot of effort and careful handling every day. You get used to the smell of wet stone after a few years. It's just a regular local spot. We don't have a big team, just a few of us making sure things move along. Bhilwara is known for textiles mostly, but there's a good amount of stone work going on too. If you're walking around the market, you'll find us near the other shops. We keep it simple. There isn't much to say other than we work hard and try to keep the inventory moving. It's a living. We see the same faces often and that’s how we like it.
