Porwal Hospital

We’ve been over here at Porwal Hospital in R.C. Vyas Colony for a good many years now. It’s not one of those huge, fancy medical centers with glass walls and art on every floor, but it’s our local workplace. The building is quite simple, and we spend a lot of our time just trying to keep the hallways clean and the patients comfortable. Most of the folks who walk through our doors live right here in the colony. They come in for all sorts of regular things like a bad cough, a fever, or sometimes something more serious that needs a doctor to take a look. We have a small team of nurses and staff who show up early every morning, have their tea, and get to work. It gets pretty busy sometimes, especially on those Monday mornings when everyone seems to need something at once. We don't have a big fancy reception area, just a desk and enough chairs for people to sit while they wait their turn. Some days are quieter than others, and we just sit and talk about the local news or the weather. We try to get people seen quickly, though sometimes the wait is longer than we’d like. The doctors here are just regular people who know their stuff. We don't use big medical words that no one can understand. We just listen and try to help. It’s a practical place to be for the neighborhood.
