We are over at 18/235 in Indira Market. If you know the market, you know it’s a bit of a maze sometimes. Our shop is tucked in there with all the others. We specialize in namkeen, and we’ve been doing it the same way for a long time. There isn't any secret to it, just keeping the oil hot and the spices right. The market starts humming pretty early, and we are usually there before the sun is fully up to get things started. We have rows of bags ready for people to grab. A lot of the shopkeepers around here come to us when they need a snack during the day. It’s a tight-knit community in Indira Market. We don't bother with fancy packaging or big ads. We just put the stuff in plain bags and let the taste do the talking. The floors are usually a bit swept over with flour, and the air is thick with the smell of frying. It’s hard work, and your back usually aches by the end of the day, but it’s a living. We’ve seen the market change over the years, but our little spot at 18/235 stays pretty much the same. We just keep our heads down and make sure the namkeen is ready for the next customer who walks through the door.
