Hindustan Zinc Limited

Our office is located at Sh-1 in the Zinc Colony right by the Rampura Agucha Mine. Being this close to the mine site in Bhilwara means the air is always a bit thick with dust and you can hear the rumble of heavy machinery in the distance. We work for Hindustan Zinc Limited and this spot is our main base for the local mining operations. It’s a simple building that has been standing here for many years. Inside, it’s mostly just desks covered in folders and a few old computers that have seen better days. We don’t have much in the way of comfort, but it suits the kind of grit needed for the work we do. Most people walking through the door are wearing heavy work boots and high-vis jackets because we’re always going back and forth between the office and the pits. The P.O. Hurda area is generally pretty quiet except for the constant company activity. We’ve lived in this colony for a while now, and everyone knows everyone else’s business. It’s a tough environment sometimes, especially when the Rajasthan sun is beating down on the mines, but we just get on with it. We handle the daily reports and make sure the site stays on track without too many delays. It’s not a polished corporate office, and we honestly like it that way. It’s a place where real work happens every single shift for the local crew.
