Hindustan Zinc Limited

Living and working in the Zinc Colony in Hurda is a unique experience. We are at P.Durgasad Sh 02, right in the heart of the colony area near Gulabpura. Since this is a company-focused area, almost everyone we see is connected to Hindustan Zinc Limited in some way. The office is just a short walk from where many of us stay. It’s a quiet environment, mostly surrounded by trees and other residential quarters. Our work involves a lot of local coordination and administrative tasks. The office itself is quite plain, with gray desks and basic chairs. We don't have much in the way of modern design; it’s more about being useful. We spend our mornings going through the mail and checking the local logs. In the afternoons, things usually slow down a bit, and we catch up on the filing. The Bhilwara district weather can be harsh, so we are glad for the thick walls of the building. We know all the guards and the other staff members by name. It’s a small-town feel even though we are part of a much larger organization. We don't have big meetings with presentations. Most of our communication happens over a quick chat or a simple phone call. It’s an honest way to spend the day. We focus on the details of the site operations and keep things ticking along without any fuss.
