Finding us isn't too hard since we're near Maharana Talkies in Gulmandi. The Bhim Ganj police chowki is also right there, so it's a well-known corner. The shop is a bit small, but we try to fit as much as we can on the racks. It's a bit of a squeeze when more than three people are inside at once. We’ve been here for a few years, mostly doing local business. People stop by after they finish their shopping in the main market. It's a lively area, especially in the evenings when everyone is out. We don't have a big staff, usually just myself and a helper. We do a lot of the alterations right here in the back. The sewing machine is pretty old but it still works fine. Sometimes the lighting in here is a bit dim, but we've gotten used to it. We don't do anything too fancy, just regular clothes for regular people. I spend a lot of time talking to the ladies who come in, hearing about their families while they look at the fabrics. It’s a nice way to spend the day. Gulmandi can get really loud with all the traffic and people shouting, but inside the boutique, it’s usually okay. We just keep doing what we do every day. There is a small stool in the corner where I sit when there are no customers. We just take it one day at a time and keep the shop tidy.
