If you find yourself in the New Cloth Market over at number 76, you'll see us. Bhilwara is full of textile places, but we’ve been at this spot for a bit. It’s a busy market, always loud with people moving rolls of fabric and trucks trying to navigate the narrow spots. We handle a lot of different materials. Some days are better than others, depending on how the market is moving. We don't use big words to describe what we do. It’s just textiles. We buy, we sell, and we make sure the quality isn't rubbish. Sometimes the electricity goes out and we just sit and wait, maybe have some chai. It’s not like those offices you see in movies. There’s lint on the floor and the desks are cluttered with samples. My father was in this line of work too, so it feels natural to be here. You get to know the other shop owners around the market. We look out for each other. It’s a community. When a customer comes in, we don't give them a sales pitch. We just show them what we have and let the fabric do the talking. It’s a simple way to live and work. We aren't looking to expand into some global empire. Just keeping the shop running and doing right by the people who buy from us.
