Manish Textile

Our shop, Manish Textile, is down in the basement at No. 13 in the Anand Cloth Market. It’s right on Pur Road. If you have ever been to this market, you know it is always crowded and noisy. Being in the basement means we don't get much sunlight, but it stays a bit cooler when the sun is beating down outside. We have rolls of fabric stacked everywhere. Sometimes it is hard to walk between the aisles because there is so much stock. We spend our days measuring out cloth and cutting it for customers. People come from all over the area to find specific materials. The market is full of people shouting and carts moving back and forth. It’s a bit of a mess, but we are used to it. We open up early and stay until the market starts to quiet down in the evening. There is always a lot of dust from the fabric, so we are constantly sweeping. We aren't a big corporation, just a small business trying to handle the daily rush of the textile trade. Most of the time we are just talking to local tailors or people looking for a deal. We’ve been in this spot for a good while and know most of the other shopkeepers around us. It’s a busy life, but it keeps us going. We just focus on getting the right cloth to the right person.
