Ajmera Distributors

The Gandhi Bazar area is always crowded with people and carts. You really have to watch where you are walking when you come down here. Our place, Ajmera Distributors, is located in the Petch Area right in the middle of the Bhilwara Textile Market. We spend most of our time moving heavy boxes around and checking off items on our lists. The whole market has a very specific smell of new cloth and plastic packaging. We have been at this specific address for a good stretch of years now. The building is older than it looks and has these narrow stairs that make your legs tired by the end of the day. We do not have any decorations on the walls except for some old calendars and a few photos. The morning starts with clearing the space in front of the shop so people can get through. Neighbors often stop by to chat about the market prices or just the local news. We keep a small kettle for making tea for whoever happens to visit us. It is definitely not a corporate environment. We just wear our regular clothes and talk about the weather while we work. The Petch Area is noisy and busy, but it has a rhythm that we are used to. We just follow that rhythm and get the work done in our own simple way.
