S.K.S. Ispat & Power Limited

Our place is on Street No.5 in Azad Chowk, over in Kasaridih, Durg. S.K.S. Ispat & Power Limited deals with some pretty heavy stuff, mostly steel and various power-related projects. It’s a gritty kind of work that isn't for everyone. The office here is where we manage the logistics and the boring side of the business. Durg is a big industrial hub, so there’s always trucks moving around and something loud happening nearby. We aren’t looking to impress anyone with a shiny lobby, expensive art, or leather chairs. We have plain metal desks and a lot of filing cabinets that have definitely seen better days. The work involves a lot of technical details and keeping track of various project phases across the region. It’s not the kind of job you can just leave at the door when you go home; there’s always something to think about or a problem to solve. We drink a lot of tea while going over the day's reports and talking about the next steps. Sometimes the power flickers or the phones go out, but we just wait it out and get back to it when things are running again. Our crew is a mix of people who have been here forever and a few newer faces learning the ropes. We don’t do big meetings with fancy slides or long speeches. Usually, we just stand around a desk and talk about what needs to be finished before we head home for the evening.
