Naman Construction

Naman Construction is run out of Tamer Para, which is near the Killa Mandir Road in Durg. Arvind Tamrakar is the one in charge, and he basically took over from his father, Shri R.L. Tamrakar. We are a local outfit, so everyone around the neighborhood knows where we are. The office is really just part of the family area, which makes it feel very relaxed. Durg is a place where it gets really dry and hot, so we usually try to get the site visits done early in the morning before the sun gets too high. We do a lot of small-scale building work and general construction stuff. There is always a smell of cement or wet sand around when we are getting materials ready. It’s not a quiet job. There is usually a lot of banging and shouting to get things moved around. We have a small desk where we keep the accounts and the drawings for the current houses we are working on. Neighbors often stop by to say hello or ask for a bit of advice on their own repairs. It is just how things go in this part of Chhattisgarh. We don't have a fancy website or anything like that, just our reputation in the colony. Most of our work comes from people walking in or calling because they saw us working down the street. It’s hard work, but it is honest and it keeps us going.
