Shri Damodar Yarn

Shri Damodar Yarn is located at No. 802 in the GIDC Sarigam area. This is an industrial zone, so it is mostly factories and warehouses around here. It is a bit far from the main city noise, but it has its own kind of industrial hum. We deal with yarn, which means there is always a bit of lint in the air. The machines or the storage areas take up most of our space. We are not a big flashy company. We are just some folks working with thread and yarn every day. The work is repetitive but it needs to be done right. If the yarn is not quality, everything else fails later down the line. We keep an eye on the batches and make sure the weights are correct. It is mostly technical work, nothing very exciting to talk about at dinner. We have a small team who knows how to handle the materials. Some of us have been working in Sarigam for a decade or more. You get used to the smells of the industrial estate and the sound of trucks coming and going. We do not have fancy office furniture. We use what works. Our main goal is just to get the yarn out to whoever needs it on time. It is a practical business. We drink a lot of tea to keep going during the long shifts. There is not much else to it, just keeping the cycles moving and staying on top of the inventory as best we can.
