Sudarsan Herbs & Forests Pvt. Ltd. is located at Qrs. No. D-1 S. E. Irrigation Colony. It is right on the I. T. I. Road in Bhawanipatna, which is part of the Kalahandi district. We have been working from this spot for a long time. Our work involves a lot of herbs and things we get from the forest areas around here. It is not like a fancy office you see in the big cities. We have a lot of sacks filled with dried roots and leaves sitting in the corners. The smell of the herbs is quite strong when you first walk in, but we are used to it by now. The irrigation colony is usually a quiet place, except for when the students are moving along I. T. I. Road. We spend our mornings sorting through what has been brought in from the woods. My cousin does the accounts on an old desk near the window. The sun comes in really strong in the afternoons, so we have to pull the curtains. Kalahandi has a lot of natural growth, so this is a good place for our business. We don't do much in terms of fancy labels or big advertisements. Most people who need what we have just know where to find us. It can be dusty work and our hands are often dirty from handling the plants. We just keep going day after day, making sure the storage stays dry.
