Raj Singh Fly Ash Brick

The factory is situated in Hill Town, right over in Kalahandi. If you know the area, we are pretty close to the evening collage. It is a bit of a landmark for us when we are giving directions to the truck drivers. Raj Singh Fly Ash Brick is basically just a yard full of stacks and the machinery we use to press the ash into blocks. We chose fly ash because it is what people are asking for these days. It is a bit cleaner than the old way of doing things, even if it is still a messy job for us. You can usually see the students walking past on their way to classes while we are loading up the morning shipments. It is a busy spot. We do not have a website or any of that stuff. If you want to talk to us, you just come down to the site and find me. I am usually the one covered in gray dust near the press. We do not put on any airs about what we do. It is just making building materials for the local houses and shops around Kalahandi. Sometimes the machines break down and we have to spend the whole afternoon fixing them with whatever tools we have on hand. It is a bit frustrating, but that is part of the trade. We just keep going because people need their bricks to finish their walls.
