Wala & Co.

Our office is in Nanbha Wadi, which is over in the Kalanala area. It is a bit of a crowded neighborhood with lots of small lanes and shops everywhere. Wala & Co. has been here for a long time, so we are quite used to the noise and the way things work around here. The office itself is quite small and it’s filled with old wooden desks and shelves that go all the way to the ceiling. We have piles of papers everywhere, but somehow we usually know exactly where everything is. It’s a family-run kind of thing, so there isn't much formality. You might see a cat wandering in from the street sometimes, or hear the neighbor's radio playing through the wall. We don't have a website or anything like that, we just rely on people knowing where we are and what we do. Most of our day is spent talking to people who drop by or handling the various orders that come in through the mail. The windows don't close all the way, so it can get a bit drafty when it’s windy, but we just wear a sweater and get on with it. It’s a very local way of doing things, and we’ve never really felt the need to change it or move to a bigger place in a fancier part of town. This spot works for us and our regulars know where to find us.
