Virani Masala

Our place, Virani Masala, is located right in Vanda Village. We are in the Saverkundla Taluka area, quite close to the Nadi Bazar. Living and working in a village means everyone knows everyone else. We spend most of our time dealing with spices, grinding them and getting them ready for people to use in their cooking. The smell around the shop is always very strong, mostly chili and turmeric. It’s a dusty job, but it’s what we know. We’ve been near the Nadi Bazar for a long time, and we see the market traffic every single day. The equipment we use is old but it still works fine if you treat it right. Sometimes the power goes out, which slows us down, but that’s just life in the village. We don't have a website or anything like that, we just talk to the people who walk in. Our family has lived in Saverkundla for generations. Work starts early before it gets too hot. By the time the bazar gets busy, we usually have our first batch done. It’s a simple life, focused on the spices and the customers who have been coming to us for years. We don't try to be anything we aren't. We just make sure the masala is ground properly and the bags are filled. It’s honest work and it keeps us busy from dawn till dusk. We wouldn't want to be anywhere else.
