Varun Children Hospital

Varun Children Hospital is on Mahuva Road in Savarkundla. We strictly look after children here, from babies to the older kids. It is a specialized job because kids can't always tell you what is hurting, so you have to be extra patient. Parents bring their little ones in for all sorts of things like high fevers, stomach problems, or just their regular vaccinations. Since we are on Mahuva Road, we get a lot of families coming in from the nearby villages too. The hospital isn't huge, but we have enough space and the right tools to take care of the kids. We try to make the rooms feel a bit less scary, maybe with a few toys lying around, but it’s still a hospital. My staff and I are used to the sound of crying babies and the sight of worried parents. It’s a lot of work, but we’ve been doing it for a long time. Savarkundla is a small enough town that we recognize many of the families who walk through the door. We don't use a bunch of complicated medical talk when we explain things to the parents. We just tell them what the problem is and how we are going to fix it. It is a plain, hardworking hospital for the kids in our area. We just want to help them get healthy so they can go back to being kids.
