Uttam Metals

Down on Bhavnagar Road, in the Shivh Shakti Industrial Area, you’ll find us at Street Number 2. Uttam Metals is where we spend our days working with different kinds of metal. The area around Manda Dungar is always busy with workshops and transport vehicles, so there’s never a quiet moment. Our shop is mostly filled with scraps and sheets of metal waiting to be cut or shaped. It’s a dirty job, and our clothes usually show it by the end of the shift. We don’t have any fancy signs or a big lobby. It’s just the workshop floor and a small space to sit down when we take our lunch break. We’ve seen the neighborhood change a bit over the years, but the work we do stays mostly the same. We take the raw materials, do what needs to be done, and load them onto the trucks. Sometimes the heat from the tools makes the shop feel like an oven, especially in the summer. We just drink plenty of water and keep at it. It’s the kind of place where you learn by doing. We aren’t trying to be the biggest company out there, just trying to do a decent job for the people who come to us. It’s a simple life, focused on the metal and the machines, right here on the edge of the road.
