Shree Amarlal Food Product

The gate at Plot No. 190 usually opens around eight in the morning when the first few workers arrive at Chitra Gidc. Shree Amarlal Food Product has been sitting here for a while now, right in the middle of all the other factories. It gets pretty dusty out here in the industrial area, especially when the wind picks up, but we just keep the shutters down and get to work. Most days are about managing the stock and making sure the food products are packed up right before the transport trucks show up in the afternoon. There is always a lot of noise coming from the neighboring plots, but you get used to it after a week or two. Our space isn't fancy, just a practical setup with enough room for the machinery and the bags of raw materials. We spend a lot of time checking the seals on the packets. Sometimes the power goes out for an hour, and everyone just sits outside on the stone steps near the entrance of Plot 190 until it comes back on. That is when we catch up on local news or talk about the weather. Chitra Gidc is a busy place, and there is always someone moving something on a trolley. We are just one of those units trying to stay on top of the daily list. It’s hard work, and the floors need sweeping constantly because of the type of stuff we handle. We just do what needs doing.
