Santkrupa Machine Tools

Chitra GIDC is a busy spot, and being at Plot No 4 means we see a lot of what goes on around here. We’ve set up our machines and tools in a way that makes sense for us, even if it looks a bit cluttered to someone else. It’s a real working space. There’s always a faint smell of grease in the air, which I guess is true for any machine tool shop. We don’t spend much time in the office part of the building because there is always something to do on the floor. The lights can be a bit dim in the corners, but we know where every wrench and bolt is kept. We’ve had the same group of workers for a while now, and we all just kind of know what the other person is doing without having to talk about it too much. When the weather gets hot, the GIDC can be a tough place to work, but we just keep the fans going and carry on. We get a lot of local guys coming in needing something fixed or a part made quickly. We try to help them out when we can. It’s not about being fancy or having a big sign out front. We just do the work we know how to do. Sometimes we stay late to finish a part, and the whole estate is quiet except for us. It’s just how the days go here. We aren't trying to change the world, just keeping the tools running.
