Rudra Medicine

Rudra Medicine is over at Shop No 29 in the Natraj Complex. It is right by Shivaji Circle, which is always a loud and busy place to be. If you are standing at the circle, you can usually hear the traffic and the people shouting all day long. The shop itself is tucked into the complex. It is not a very big space, so we have to use every inch of the walls for storage. We spend a lot of time climbing up and down the little step stool to reach the higher shelves. Most of the work here is just checking what came in and making sure the labels are clear. It gets hot in the afternoons, but we have a couple of fans that keep the air moving. The floor is made of old stone and it stays relatively cool. We don’t have a fancy computer system for everything, so there is still a lot of paper used for notes and lists. People stop by on their way to other parts of town because the circle is such a central point. We see a lot of different faces every day. It is just a regular shop where we try to keep things in order. Sometimes the delivery trucks block the entrance for a bit while they unload, which can be a bit of a hassle for everyone involved.
