Raman Eng. Works is located at Plot No. 322. It is pretty easy to find because we are right opposite the Nil-Kamal Way Bridge. That bridge is a landmark everyone knows around here. We do a lot of fabrication and general engineering work. The shop is noisy because there is always some welding or grinding going on. We don't have a polished website or anything like that. People usually find us because they saw the sign while crossing the bridge or someone told them about us. We have a lot of scrap metal piled up in the corner that we use for smaller jobs. The roof is corrugated metal and it makes a lot of noise when it rains. We’ve got a few old fans that try their best to keep the air moving. It’s a small team, just a few of us who know how to handle the machines. We work on everything from simple brackets to bigger frames. There isn't a lot of paperwork involved, just a notebook where we keep track of the jobs. We like being near the bridge because it feels connected to the rest of the town. You can hear the traffic going by all day. We just stay focused on the metal in front of us. It’s a simple life at Plot 322 and we wouldn't have it any other way. The floor needs a sweep, but the work is solid.
