Pranami Electrical

Our place, Pranami Electrical, is located right on Plot No 800/2 in Chitra Gidc. It’s a busy area with a lot of noise from the neighboring units, but we have gotten used to it over the years. Inside, it’s mostly shelves stacked with motors, switches, and all sorts of electrical bits that people in the industrial estate need. The floor is concrete and has a few cracks from where we dropped heavy gear years ago. We don't bother fixing those because they don’t really get in the way of anything. We start early in the morning before the sun gets too hot, though the Gidc area always feels a few degrees warmer than the rest of the city. We spend a lot of time on the phone tracking down parts or talking to people about their repair needs. It is steady work, nothing too exciting, but it’s what we know how to do. Sometimes the delivery truck gets stuck in traffic near the main entrance, and we have to wait around, which gives us time to clean the front desk area. We don’t have a big team, just a few of us who have been doing this for a long time. People know where to find us if they need something fixed or if they are looking for a specific fuse. We just keep the doors open and get through the pile of work on the desk. It’s simple work for local people.
