Our place is located at Survey No. 131-A. It’s more of an industrial setting than a fancy office. We work with plastics and machinery here. Most days start early because the machines take a while to get going. The floor is usually covered in some kind of material or tools that we are using for the current job. It’s not the quietest environment, but we are used to the hum of the equipment by now. We spend most of our time looking at designs or checking the output of the molds. People think working in manufacturing is simple, but there is always a part that doesn't fit or a machine that needs a bit of oiling. We have a small crew and we all know what our jobs are. We don't spend much time on the computer unless it’s to check an order. Usually, we are on our feet. The area around Survey No. 131-A is mostly other businesses like ours, so it feels like a hard-working neighborhood. We take our breaks when we can and try to get the orders out on time. Sometimes we stay late when a big shipment is due, but that is just how it goes in this line of work. It’s a bit dusty and loud, but it is honest work. We don't have any big signs or flashy lights outside, just the name and the work we do inside. Our neighbors often stop by to borrow a tool or just to chat about the local news.
