Our shop is on Savaigar Street, right near Amba Chowk. It is an old part of the city, so the streets are narrow and there is always something going on outside the front door. We are traders, mostly dealing with whatever supplies the local builders and workshops are looking for. We have piles of things stacked up high because we try to keep a bit of everything on hand. It’s been in the family for a while. We know the people who walk past every day. There is a lot of shouting and horns honking from the chowk, but we don't really notice it anymore. We open up early and stay until the sun goes down. There isn't a lot of space for a desk, so we usually do our paperwork on a small wooden table near the entrance. It’s a bit dusty, and the lighting isn't the best, but it has a good feel to it. We don't use much technology besides a basic phone. Most of our business is done face-to-face with people we have known for years. We aren't looking to change much about how we operate. We just like being part of the market and keeping the trade moving. It’s a basic life, but it’s what we know best. We just keep our heads down and do the work that needs doing every day.
