Madhav Export

Our office is at number 202 in the Shetrunjay Complex. It’s right near Mahila College, so there are always students walking around and a lot of energy in the streets. Madhav Export isn't a massive corporation with hundreds of employees. We are a smaller group working out of this complex. The office has a few computers, some filing cabinets, and a lot of samples lying around. We spend a lot of our time on the phone or writing emails to people in different places. Exporting is mostly about waiting for things to happen and then rushing when they finally do. The complex itself is okay, though the elevator is a bit slow sometimes. We often just take the stairs if we’re in a hurry. We don’t have a receptionist or a lobby. If you walk in, you’re basically right in our workspace. It’s practical. We keep our overheads low because that’s the only way to stay steady in this business. Most of our clients have been working with us for a long time, so they don’t care about how the office looks. They just care that we get the goods moved. We have tea twice a day, and that’s when we usually catch up on things. It’s not a glamorous job, but it’s what we do. We’ve been in this spot for a few years now and it feels like home to us. It is just a normal office.
