M. Harakhji And Sons is located at 255 Madhav Darshan on Waghawadi Road. It’s a family-run kind of thing. We’ve been around the block a few times. The office is tucked away in the building and it’s usually full of papers and the smell of old files. We don’t have a big sign with flashing lights. Waghawadi Road is always busy, so there’s plenty of noise outside. We handle various bits of business that come our way. It’s mostly about keeping the accounts straight and making sure the customers are getting what they asked for. We aren’t trying to change the world. We’re just trying to keep the business running like our fathers did. It’s a bit traditional here. We still use some old ledgers alongside the computers because that’s how we feel comfortable. There is usually someone making tea in the back. If you drop in, it might take a minute to find someone because we’re often busy in the storage area or on the phone. We don't have a fancy website or a PR person. What you see is what you get. We've got deep roots in this area. People know the Harakhji name around here. We just try to stay consistent and do our bit every day. It’s a quiet life but it keeps us busy enough. We've been here long enough that the building feels like a second home.
