Our place is just called Prakash and we’re located over at 6 Driver Colony in Kumbhar Wada, right off Nari Road. It’s a small neighborhood and everyone knows each other. We’ve been here for a long time. It’s not a huge factory or anything, just a workshop where we get things done. Mostly, we handle whatever local work comes our way. It could be repairs or making small parts, depending on the day. The shop is small and can get a bit cramped when we have a lot of materials sitting around. We don't have a receptionist; if the door is open, you just walk in and talk to whoever is closest. Usually, that’s me or one of the other guys. We don't have a mission statement on the wall. We just have tools and a workbench. Sometimes the power goes out and we have to wait it out, chatting with the neighbors. It’s a relaxed atmosphere, though we do work hard when there’s a job on the table. People in the colony know where to find us if they need something fixed. We aren't looking to expand into some big corporation. We like being a local fixture where people can just stop by and have a real conversation about the work they need. It’s a simple life and it suits us just fine. Most days start with a cup of tea and a look at the list of things to finish. We just take it one day at a time here and keep at it.
