Merchant Impex

Merchant Impex is based over in Kumbharvada, right near the railway crossing. You can hear the trains passing by pretty often, which is just part of the background noise for us now. Being near the crossing makes it easy to explain our location to people who haven’t visited before. We handle import and export stuff, so there is always a lot of paperwork and boxes moving around. The office isn’t anything special to look at, just some desks and shelves filled with files and samples. We spend a lot of time talking to suppliers and checking on shipping dates. Kumbharvada is a busy area with a lot of small shops and workshops, so it feels very grounded and real here. We don’t use a lot of fancy business jargon. We just talk to people plainly and try to get the goods from one place to another without too much trouble. Sometimes the railway gates are closed and traffic piles up, so we have learned to be patient with deliveries. It is a small team here and we all do a bit of everything, from answering phones to packing up small parcels. We don’t have a big mission statement on the wall. We just show up, do the work that needs doing, and try to make sure our customers get what they asked for. It is a practical way to run a business in a neighborhood like this.
