Karma Art

We’ve been set up at 8/A Kalubha Road for a good few years now, tucked inside Mahavir Palace. Most mornings start with unlocking the main door and letting some air into the space because it gets a bit stuffy overnight. Karma Art is just us doing what we know how to do, surrounded by frames, canvases, and whatever materials are lying around from the day before. It’s not a fancy showroom or anything like that. The floors have some scuffs and the walls could probably use a fresh coat of paint, but it works for us. People usually find us by word of mouth or if they happen to be walking down Kalubha Road and see our sign. We spend a lot of time just organizing things and making sure everything is in its right place, though it never stays organized for very long. Sometimes the tea guy from down the street comes by and we take a break for ten minutes. It’s a quiet enough spot most days, which is nice when you’re trying to focus on a specific piece. There is usually a bit of a mess on the worktables, but that’s just how things go when you’re actually making stuff. We aren't trying to be some huge corporation. It’s just a small shop where we handle things one at a time. If the door is open, someone is usually inside working on something or checking the inventory.
