Iron Merchant

We’re located at F 2 in the Hansh Complex, right near the Sanskar Mandal Circle. It’s a well-known spot in the neighborhood. We deal in iron, mostly scrap and building materials. The office is where we do the weighing and the billing, but the real work happens out where the metal is stacked. It’s a bit of a messy business, to be honest. Iron is heavy and it gets rusty, so our hands are always dirty. We get all sorts of people coming in. Some are contractors looking for bits of rebar, and others are just clearing out old junk from their yards. We try to give a fair price based on what the market is doing that day. The Sanskar Mandal Circle area can get quite congested, so getting trucks in and out sometimes takes a bit of maneuvering. We’ve been at this for a while now. The walls in the office are a bit faded and we have stacks of ledgers going back years. We don't use fancy software for everything; sometimes a pen and paper are just faster. It’s a basic operation. We wake up early, open the gate, and start moving metal. By the end of the day, we’re pretty tired, but that’s the trade. If you need iron or want to get rid of some, you just come by the complex.
