Himmat Engineering Works

If you find the Airtel tower on Amreli Road in Savarkundla, you’re pretty much at our doorstep. Himmat Engineering Works is a busy little place. We have a lot of heavy iron and steel parts lying around the yard. The main shed is where most of the work happens. It’s got high ceilings but it still gets quite warm when the machines are running all day long. We’ve been at this Savarkundla location for a good while. The road outside is usually busy with tractors and trucks going to the market. We don't have a fancy showroom. Everything is very practical and a bit messy. If you walk in, you’ll see us in our work clothes, likely covered in a bit of soot or grease. That’s just the nature of engineering work. We have an old wooden desk in the corner where we keep the diary for all our jobs. Sometimes the phone rings off the hook and other days it’s quiet enough to hear the birds outside. We don’t use any complicated systems for our work, just experience and the tools we have on hand. It’s a solid way to spend the day. Most of our neighbors are also into some kind of trade, so we all get along well. We just focus on getting the parts right and moving on to the next task. It’s just us doing our thing out here on Amreli Road.
