Gujarat Maritime Board

We are based over in Bhavnagar, specifically at Om Sagwadi on Plot No. 411/450 in the Kaliyabid area. Working for the Gujarat Maritime Board means there is always something going on with the ports and the water. Our office here isn't right on the docks, but we keep a close eye on everything from our desks. It’s a fairly quiet part of town, which is good when we have a lot of reports to finish. The building is plain, and inside it’s just the usual office stuff—desks, chairs, and stacks of paper. We don't have any flashy displays. We’re just civil servants and staff trying to keep things orderly. Most days involve a lot of phone calls and checking on schedules. It’s steady work, and we’ve been at this location for a long time. People in Kaliyabid know where we are if they need to drop off documents. We don't really have a big philosophy or anything like that. We just follow the rules and make sure the maritime business in the region stays on track. It’s a lot of responsibility, but we take it one day at a time. The tea lady comes by twice a day, and that’s usually when we take our only real breaks. It's just a normal workplace with normal people doing what needs to be done.
