Grace Garments Ltd.

We’ve been here at 136 Panchamruit for a good while now. Old Manekwadi is a busy spot, and our workshop fits right in. Most days start early with the sound of the machines getting going. It’s not a fancy office, just a place where we get the sewing done and check the seams. Grace Garments Ltd. is basically just us working through piles of fabric. Sometimes the tea stall downstairs is the highlight of the afternoon when we take a quick break for a few minutes. We handle a lot of different orders, so the tables are always covered in scraps and thread. It gets dusty, but that’s just how it goes with cloth. People around here know us as the place that’s always got lights on late at night. We don’t spend much time on decorations or anything like that. The walls could probably use a fresh coat of paint, honestly. But the work gets out the door on time, and that’s what matters to the folks waiting for their batches. It’s a lot of sitting and standing and cutting and re-cutting. Sometimes the power goes out for a bit, and we just wait it out in the dark. It’s just how things are in this part of town. We’ve seen other shops come and go, but we’re still here at this same address. If you walk past Panchamruit, you’ll likely hear us before you see us. Just a regular bunch of people making clothes every day for the locals.
