We have been here in Mahuva for a good while now. The G.I.D.C. Estate is where everything happens for us. It is a busy place, especially when the trucks are lining up in the mornings. We deal with dyes and various stuffs that go into making things colorful. It is messy work sometimes, and your hands get stained, but that is just part of the job. Our building is not anything fancy, just a practical space where we can get the mixing and the packing done. Most of the people working here live nearby, so we all know each other well. Sometimes the weather gets really hot, and we have to take more breaks, but the work keeps moving along. We have seen the estate change over the years as more sheds went up. It used to be much quieter. Now there is always the sound of machinery or someone shouting over a forklift. We just keep our heads down and handle the orders as they come in. Some days are longer than others when a big shipment is due out. We don’t spend much time on office decorations because the floor is where the real activity is. It is just a regular place where we show up, do the mixing, and go home to our families. We are not trying to be the biggest, just trying to do our daily work and keep the machines running.
