Gautam Medical has been on Mahatma Gandhi Road for quite some time now. If you know this part of the city, you know how the traffic can get out there on the main road. Our shop is just one of many along this stretch, but we try to keep things organized so folks can get what they need without too much fuss. I usually start the morning by unlocking the shutters and sweeping the front step because the dust from Mahatma Gandhi Road never seems to stop settling. It’s a straightforward kind of business. We stock the usual medicines and some other health supplies that people in the area tend to look for. I wouldn't say there's anything special about the layout, just rows of shelves and a counter where we handle everything. Sometimes a customer comes in looking for something specific, and if we have it, great, and if not, we see when the next delivery truck might be coming by. Living and working around Mahatma Gandhi Road means you see the same faces every day, which is nice. We aren't trying to be the biggest place around, just a reliable shop where the lights are on when they should be. It’s mostly about keeping the inventory right and making sure the bills are paid. It gets a bit hot in the summer months, but we have a fan that does its job well enough to keep us from melting while we work.
