Desai Construction Pvt. Ltd. operates out of A/16 Laxmidham Society, which is tucked behind the Panchvati Jakatnaka on Refinery Road in Gorwa, Baroda. Being near the refinery means there’s always a lot of activity and traffic around here, especially with the big trucks moving through the jakatnaka. Our office is inside the society, so it’s a bit more peaceful once you get off the main road. We’ve been working in the Gujarat area for a good while, helping put up walls and fixing structures where they’re needed. The Gorwa area has seen a lot of development lately, and we’re right in the thick of it. Most of our days are spent coordinating with laborers or checking on material deliveries like sand and gravel. It gets pretty humid here in Baroda, so the office fan is always running at full speed. We don't have a big receptionist or a polished waiting room. It’s mostly just us at our desks or out on the field making sure the levels are right. We know the local suppliers around Laxmidham Society well, which helps when we need things in a hurry. Construction is a messy business, and our boots usually show it by the end of the day. We take our work seriously but we don't act like we’re something we aren't. We just do the building work that comes our way and try to keep things moving along smoothly for everyone. It’s hard work, but we like seeing the progress every day.
