Bhagyoday Engravers

If you go down Nirmalnagar Main Road, near Bhavubha Chowk, you’ll see our shop at number 128. Bhagyoday Engravers has been a part of this street for a long time. Engraving is a slow process that doesn't let you rush, so the shop always feels a bit slower than the busy road outside. We spend our days hunched over workpieces, making sure the marks are exactly where they need to be. It’s a lot of eye strain and steady hands. Bhavubha Chowk is always noisy with traffic, but once you step inside, it’s mostly the sound of the small tools clicking and buzzing. We don't have a big staff, just a few people who know the craft well. Our workbench is covered in different bits and pieces from jobs we’ve done over the last month. We don't keep things very tidy because we know where everything is anyway. It’s a very manual way to live, but we enjoy seeing a finished piece after hours of work. We aren't trying to be the biggest shop in town; we just want to do the work that comes to us at 128 Nirmalnagar. People come by with all sorts of requests, and we do our best to help them out. We don’t have any fancy brochures or a website to show off. We just show people what we’re working on right then and there.
