Akash Traders

Akash Traders is based out of Alang, which is a place that never really sleeps. Our main spot is on Old Bunder Road, but we also have space over on the Trapaj-Alang Highway. If you’ve ever been to this part of Bhavnagar, you know it’s all about the ships and the metal. We handle a lot of different trading goods, mostly things salvaged or moved through the port. It’s a dusty job and the sun really beats down on the plots. We spend a lot of time outside checking on the inventory. Plot 29-36 is where most of our stuff sits. It’s a lot of heavy lifting and moving things around with cranes or trucks. My clothes usually end up covered in grease or red dust by the end of the day. We don’t have a fancy showroom. Everything is just laid out where we can find it. Sometimes the paperwork gets confusing because of the different plot numbers, like Plot 2525. We just try to keep it all straight. It’s a rough business, but we’ve been doing it for a long time. People come from all over to see what we’ve got in stock. We don’t use big words or fancy sales pitches. We just show them what’s on the lot. It’s honest work in a tough environment. We deal with whatever comes off the ships and we make sure it gets loaded onto the trucks.
