Ashok Krishna Hospital

Our place is located right in Talavadi, tucked near the telephone exchange. It's a landmark most people use to find us when they are coming from out of town. Living and working here means we see the same faces often. The hospital isn't very large, but we make use of the space we have. It can get a bit noisy with the traffic outside, but inside we just focus on the patients who are waiting. We’ve got a small team here. Everyone knows each other. We don't have those big corporate meetings or fancy slogans that you see in the city. We just show up, put on our coats, and see who needs help today. Sometimes it's a broken bone, other times just a cough that won't go away. Being near the exchange makes it easy to give directions over the phone. "Just look for the tall poles," we tell people. The rooms are basic. We have chairs that have seen better days, but they work for sitting. We try to keep things organized, even when it gets hectic in the afternoons. It’s a local spot for local people. No one puts on airs here. We talk to people like they are our neighbors, because usually, they are. It’s a lot of long hours and sometimes we run out of tea in the breakroom, but we get through. That's life at Ashok Krishna Hospital.
