Sridurga Hollow Blocks

Our business is located at 457/454 in Ayesha Plaza, right on the Main Road. We make hollow blocks, which is a pretty heavy and messy job. The machines we use are quite old now, but they still get the work done. You can hear them clanking away from a distance. We chose Ayesha Plaza because it is easy for people to find us, even though it gets a bit crowded with all the other shops nearby. We do not have a fancy showroom. Most of our blocks are just stacked up outside where they can dry in the air. We spend a lot of time mixing the cement and water just right so the blocks do not crumble. It is hard on the back and the hands, but we have gotten used to it over the years. We are not a big company with lots of managers. It is just a small group of us doing the work. Sometimes we run out of sand or the water supply is low, and we have to wait around, which is frustrating. We sell to whoever walks in, whether they want a few blocks for a garden wall or enough for a small house. We do not do much advertising; word of mouth from the local builders is usually enough to keep us going. It is just honest, physical work that fills our days from sunrise to sunset.
