Vishwakarma Furniture

We have our workshop and showroom near the Chamunda Mata Mandir on Zadeswar Road. It’s a well-known landmark, so people usually find us without too much trouble. We've been making furniture here for a long time. The smell of sawdust and wood glue is always in the air. We spend our days cutting, sanding, and putting things together. It's dusty work and our clothes are always covered in wood shavings. We don't have a fancy showroom with bright lights. Most of the pieces are just sitting there as they are finished. People come in to look at what we've made or to ask about something specific they need for their homes. We use old tools and some newer ones too. Sometimes a machine breaks down and we have to spend the afternoon fixing it instead of working on the furniture. It's part of the job. We aren't a big factory; it's just a few of us who know how to work with wood. We talk to the people who walk by on Zadeswar Road and everyone knows we've been here for years. We aren't trying to be the biggest shop around. We just like making things that people can actually use in their houses. It’s honest work and we take it one day at a time. Our workshop is a bit of a local fixture near the Chamunda Mata Mandir and we're used to the noise of the road.
