Even Chicken Centre

Even Chicken Centre is located at 17/D Mansa Talla Lane in Kidderpur, Kolkata. We are near the Madia Police station in the Zadeshwar area. It’s a very local spot. The lane is quite thin, so trucks can’t really come through. We have to bring everything in by hand or on small carts. We’ve been running this place for several years now. It’s a family business, so someone is always here from early morning until late at night. The floor is usually a bit wet because we’re constantly cleaning it. We have a few simple wooden counters and some scales for weighing things. The walls were painted blue a long time ago, but the color has faded quite a bit. It’s a loud place because of the fans and the people talking, but that’s just how Kidderpur is. We don't have any fancy brochures or a website. Most people just know us from living nearby. We focus on the daily routine of getting everything ready for the customers. Sometimes the electricity goes out and we have to use flashlights for a bit. It’s not a perfect setup, but it’s our livelihood. We just try to do an honest day’s work. The neighborhood is tight-knit, and we know most of the people who walk past our door. It’s a busy, practical life here at the shop.
